The documentary is about the 1982 murder of 27-year-old Vincent Chin (a Chinese American) by two unemployed Detroit auto workers who mistook Vincent Chin for a Japanese person. The two killers were given a lenient sentence. This film documents how this case ignited the Asian American Civil Rights movement. Light refreshments and questions and answers with the director after the screening of the film. Free. |
